Homosexuality could be denoted as the sexual and emotional attraction towards same sex individuals.  

Although established as psychiatric disorder, since 1973 it is no longer classified as such and got withdrawn from IDC (international diseases classification) and in 19990 the WHO (world health organization) crossed out homosexuality from its list of mental diseases and declared that homosexuality doesn’t stand for sexual disease, disorder or perversion.

In addition to those experts who kept it underpinned as disease, disturbance or deviation in sexual urges. There are organizations dedicated to the conversion of homosexuals into heterosexuals.

Homosexuality dates back to history of the earth itself, and countless are its cases throughout the ages.

The gay lib movement came about the mid sixties in NY and from then on the gay moniker stand for male homosexual and lesbian for female.

Since then, up until recently, has become an old hat to seen same sex individuals paired up walking hand in hand or strolling along while enjoying each other’s, wherever they pleased.

As if there’s no backlash still today coming from society towards homosexuals. Despite the ever growing acceptance, several countries put homo-sexuality down to crime liable of punishment.

In counteraction, many others already re-enacted total rights on civil marriage for same sex individuals, as well as rights on parenthood.

It’s worth mentioning that nobody chosen to become either homo-sexual or hetero-sexual. Feeling attracted towards individuals of same sex spring out in puberty and adolescence, which usually sparks plenty of conflicting while the teens are undergoing shape up.

The youngster, who in turn demands approval and bonding with the group, quite often suppresses or neglects his tendencies to strike acceptance.

The point is that being gay nowadays stands for frame of mind and so, bias alongside misinformation, shouldn’t get a place under the sun anymore.

Gays and Lesbians are ordinary people, with equal rights, who hold down jobs, display power of purchase and pay taxes. Their only bad streak is to be a bit different from the general consensus, even if their major goal is too sought after happiness just like most of us.
